Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe is amazingly endowed with natural beauty and possesses a great depth and diverse cultural and historical heritage. A very beautiful and appealing destination with some of the finest and celebrated tourist attractions such as the Victoria Falls – one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. The country is ready to receive visitors and is open for international tourists as the tourism.

Zimbabwe is a welcoming destination, which gives the visitor an opportunity to appreciate the rich history and heritage that is preserved in museums and monuments which are around the country and waiting to be explored.

Victoria Falls

Spanning almost 1.7 kilometers, located about midway along the course of the Zambezi River and split on the boarder between Zimbabwe and Zambia, The Victoria Falls, spectacular waterfall located about midway along the course of  rhe Zambezi River, at the border between Zambia to the north and Zimbabwe to the south. Approximately twice as wide and twice as deep as Niagara Falls, the waterfall spans the entire breadth of the Zambezi River at one of its widest points (more than 5,500 feet [1,700 meters]). At the falls, the river plunges over a sheer precipice to a maximum drop of 355 feet (108 meters). The falls’ mean flow is almost 33,000 cubic feet (935 cubic meters) per second. Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, offers breath-taking views. The Zambezi River does not gather speed as it nears the drop, the approach being signaled only by the mighty roar and characteristic veil of mist for which the Kalolo-Lozi people named the falls Mosi-oa-Tunya (“The Smoke That Thunders”). Zimbabwe is a welcoming destination, which gives the visitor an opportunity to appreciate the rich history and heritage that is preserved in museums and monuments which are around the country and waiting to be explored.

Great Zimbabwe

Visitors should look forward to explore the grand medieval palace – the Great Zimbabwe National Monument, an ancient ‘Stone City’, which stands out as the best of all extraordinary remnants of civilizations by-gone and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Great Zimbabwe is a symbol of strength of the Zimbabwean people and is from where the name of the country is derived.
